Fitment

2014-2015 Lexus RX 350: Lexus lists a different cylinder head part number for these years. Send us your VIN to confirm before ordering.

Confirm your engine

• VIN: the 5th digit is K on most 2GR-FE vehicles (J on 2007-2009 Lexus ES 350; S on some 2008-2010 Japan-built Highlanders). Z means the newer 2GR-FKS, which is not this engine.
• Engine serial number: stamped on the left side of the engine block, towards the rear of the engine, as "2GR-" followed by a one-digit plant code and a six-digit serial number.

We have not been able to verify cast-in block or head casting numbers for the 2GR-FE, so we don't list any.

Notes

• Versions differ by vehicle. External parts differ between vehicles. For example, some Highlander, Sienna and RX 350 engines have an engine oil cooler, and the Venza has tow-package versions. Send us your VIN so we build the right version for your vehicle.

What ships: the long block only. Oil pan, timing cover and valve covers are NOT included; reuse yours from your current engine. Photos show covers installed for illustration only.

• Machined, milled and polished internals (crankshaft, block, cylinder bores)
• All new bearings and parts: main and rod bearings, pistons, piston rings, head gaskets, timing set and guides
• Cylinder heads fully machined: 3-angle performance valve job including seats, diamond mill finish, new valve seals

Built in our full-service in-house machine shop. Reused and remachined: connecting rods, crankshaft and cylinder heads. New OEM or aftermarket parts: bearings, rings, pistons, lifters, valves, timing components, camshafts, rockers and more.

Break-in

The first 1,000 miles are the break-in period. Use conventional oil only, change the oil and filter at 500 miles, vary your RPM, and avoid towing, heavy loads and long idling. Check your oil level regularly, since some oil burn-off is normal until the rings seat. Following the break-in procedure is required to keep your warranty.

Warranty and core

Warranty: 1-year unlimited-mile warranty on the engine only; labor is not covered. Optional 3-year extended warranty available for $1,500 (includes labor coverage at $50/hr). See our Warranty & Refund Policy. Add the 3-year extended warranty to your order.
